UBT is signature sponsor for 2019 Industry Fly-in

United Bus Technology is Signature Sponsor for
2019 Bus & Motorcoach Industry Legislative Fly-In

(Alexandria, VA – February 27, 2019) Onboard motorcoach innovation leader United Bus Technology has signed on as the Signature Sponsor for the Bus and Motorcoach Industry Legislative Fly-In, April 2-3, powered by the United Motorcoach Association and 20 partner organizations. The biggest legislative event for the motorcoach industry, the Fly-In brings together leaders from bus and motorcoach operator companies, manufacturers and allied suppliers in Washington, DC, to promote the importance of maintaining a healthy and competitive industry.

"On behalf of UMA and all our partner organizations, I am pleased to welcome UBT's generous underwriting of a truly essential industry endeavor,” Stacy Tetschner, President and CEO of UMA said of the sponsorship. “UBT's support as the Signature Sponsor for the 2019 Fly-In is proof that this forward-thinking company is focused on keeping our industry vibrant and growing. We are proud to have their support."

Christian Riddell, president of United Bus Technology, said, “We are thrilled to be partners in this important event and to stand shoulder to shoulder with our industry friends to make our combined voices heard.  We are excited to join the UMA in inviting all industry players, operators and vendors alike, to come and be a part of shaping the future of the industry. Not only is this event in our back yard, but it represents one of the most important things that happen for the motorcoach industry each year. We couldn’t be happier to support it.”

The 2019 event is expected to be the best-attended industry legislative advocacy day to date, thanks to the broad support of 20 like-minded state, national and regional motorcoach groups. All groups are invited to contribute legislative agenda items to create a slate of shared issues attendees will be briefed on when they arrive for the Fly-In. The next day, April 3, they’ll head to pre-scheduled meetings with legislators to take their message to Congress.

This industry event is kept affordable by sponsors like UBT and because attendees’ time is used wisely, requiring only about 30 hours to participate from start to finish. This is an important factor for busy business owners attending from all over the U.S. Dinner, breakfast, a reception and all transportation to Fly-In events are provided at no charge. Attendees only need pay for their transportation to and from Washington, DC and their hotel room.

The hotel room block has been secured for this event and attendees can go to www.uma.org/capitol-hill to book rooms and to register.
