 
UMA's Capitol Hill Fly-In
All UMA members are invited to participate in UMA's Capitol Hill Fly-In on April 13th - 14th, 2010. This is your opportunity to come to Washington,
DC to interact with your Congressional delegations and important agency officials and make sure your voice is heard during this day and half event.
UMA is holding this fly-in in conjunction with the National School Transportation Association (NSTA).
Tuesday, April 13th
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Capitol Hill Pre-Briefing and Box Lunch
Capitol Visitors Center Congressional Meeting Room North
This lunch will give you the information you need to interact with the afternoon session and to take with you when meeting with your individual House and
Senate representatives on Wednesday. UMA's lobbyists will arm you with the messages, information, and talking points that you'll need to educate your
representatives on issues facing the motorcoach industry.
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Congressional and Agency Presentations
Capitol Visitors Center Congressional Meeting North
Members of Congress, agency officials and staffers will come to us as a group to hear and learn more on different topics affecting our industry and answer
questions. Speakers will be announced closer to the event.
6:00 PM Dinner - Westin City Center - 1400 M Street NW - Washington, DC
Join your fellow UMA members and NSTA members to celebrate your hard work and share stories about your visit. We'll also hear from a speaker on important
issues facing our industry. Speaker will be announced closer to the event.
Wednesday, April 14th
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Visits with your Senators and Representatives - Capitol Hill
Spend the morning with your individual House Members and Senators educating them on our industry
and advocating on issues that affect your bottom line. After you register, you will receive instructions on how to set up appointments with your
representatives. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING UP THESE MEETINGS ON YOUR OWN.

This event, including lunch and dinner on the 13th, is free to
UMA members, but you must register to be included in the activities. Click here to register.
Housing and Ground Transportation
Housing and ground transportation are on your own.
Airport
You are strongly encouraged to fly in to Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) as it is the most convenient airport to downtown Washington and has easy
Metro access. Other airports flying into the Washington D.C. area include Dulles International (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International (BWI).
Both of these airports are about 45 - 75 minutes away from downtown Washington DC.
